Problem Solving

Today I did problem solving. The problem I had to solve was 7 x 14 and the stratigie I used to figure this equation out was place value.

First, I read the text and highlighted the keywords. Then I picked three stratigis to figure out this equation.

Next, I wrote down the equations. For example: Place Value

7 x 14 =??

7 x 10 = 70

7 x 4 = 28

70 + 28 = 98.

Last, I solved it step by step. First, I started with the tens. Next, I started with the ones. Then, I combined both of thier answers to make 98.

I learned a lot about this activity because I learnt how to use place value, and other to figure out hard times tables.
