Art

I created a piece of art work but this time, I took it up a notch. I created a Samoan Tuiga chief hat using shapes.

First, I copied and pasted my circular shape from my two previous art works for the coconuts.

Next, I used shapes to create the feathers, the bamboo part, and the fue on the sides.

Lastly, I colour coded the shapes.

I enjoyed this activity because I used my creativity to create this piece of art work and this links with my family tribe.

  1. Ka mau te wehi Hector! Awesome creativity! The first thing I thought of when I saw it was the Samoan flag because of the strong red and blue colours. I like how you explained the relationship between your shapes, and the natural items they would be made of, in a tuiga.
How long did it take you to create?
