Today Zana from the SLJ team commented on my Insect art blog post.

Zana said Kia Ora Hector,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.

I thought the activity was very exciting as I love seeing everyone's creative and unique designs! Your insect looks awesome and looks just like a butterfly, you added the antennas, body and the big beautiful wings. The rocks you add to the wings look like the little spots you see on monarch butterflies.

I would like to know how you found all the materials for your insect and if your butterfly has a name?

Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.
Ngā mihi nui,
Zana Yates

I said Talofa Lava Zana

I found these materials during lunch and I wanted to make a butterfly. I had to use pebbles to hang the leaves on the paper

Today Zana from the SLJ team commented on my Kowhaiwhai patern blog post.

Zana said Kia Ora Hector,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.

I thought this activity was very interesting as it teaches you about Tānerore who you are able to see often on these hot summer days and about the infamous kowhaiwhai pattern seen throughout Māori culture.

Your Kowhaiwhai pattern looks unique and awesome and the colors you used are very accurate to that seen in other Kowhaiwhai patterns. It is great that you used google drawing, I can imagine it was quite fun to use all the different shapes and tools to create this.

I would like to know if you have seen the Kowhaiwhai patterns before and if so when? I know I have seen them in a museum and I also made them at school to hang on the roof beams.

Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.

Ngā mihi nui,
Zana Yates

I said Talofa Lava Zana

I don't know what I am repeating in my Kowhaiwhai patern but I am trying to repeat a wave.

Today Elle from the SLJ team commented on my optical illiusion blog post.

Elle said Talofa lava Hector, this is Elle from the Summer Learning Journey team.

Well done and thank you for sharing your optical illusion!

I really like that you have put a side-by-side comparison, with your inspiration and your recreation! I like that you’ve chosen a different colour for your optical illusion, because it adds your own artistic flair and transforms it into something new. Why did you choose cyan? I think it is a very cool colour!

You chose a very neat illusion to recreate; I think it’s cool that everything overlaps to trick your eye and I agree, it does look like there are two cubes in it!

Maybe for next time, you could add labels to each picture, so we can clearly see which optical illusion is yours and which is the one that inspired you.

Keep it up and well done for being so active in the Summer Learning Journey!

Ngā mihi,
Elle (SLJ)

Then I said Talofa Lava Elle

Thanks for the comment. I chose cyan because I think it suits the colour for my optical illusion.

I chose this optical illusion because I liked that it had two cubes and I think my favourite shape is a cube.

Ka Kite Ano Elle! Hope you have a great summer!

Today I commented Bella's blog post. The blog post was the activity called "Which doesn't belong" this activity was from the summer learning journey and I did that activity.

I said Talofa Lava Bella, I see that you've done another activity and created your own slide. I liked going through your slide and I liked that you've figured out what doesn't belong. Do you think that you can make another creation about what doesn't belong?

Bella said Hello Hector! It's great to know that you're engaging with others and motivating them with positive feedback.

Yes, I think I could create another challenge. The next challenge I make would probably be about camp, which what I am most excited for next year!

Have you done this activity? For the last slide, what did you create?

Ka kite ano!

Rise Up | SLJ

Today I made my own Chorus. The Chorus was about the coronavirus. I got the idea from Mangere Collage and they made a song called "Rise up" which was the example the SLJ team had set up.

I used the sky tower photo as my background and I think my Chorus is pretty good, well it looks like a rap to me because it has rhymes.

Which doesn't belong

Today I did a google slide about which doesn't belong. Which doesen't belong is to try and find out the differences by looking at four images.

I had to figure out nine differenes and write my responds in a text box. At the bottom is the last slide of the task. The last slide was to make my own which doesn't belong slide. I did the slide about christmas cookies.

Haiku Poem | SLJ

Today I did a Haiku Poem. In a Haiku Poem there are three lines. The first line has five syllables, the second line has seven syllables, and the third line has five syllables.

The Haiku Poem I wrote was Looking for sunshine which has five syllables. The man whistles on the chair whcih has seven syllables. So my day begins which has five syllables.

Looking for sunshine, the man whistles on the chair, so my day begins.

Optical Illusion | SLJ

Today I did a teaser task called "Optical Illusion." A optical illusion can trick your mind and in the optical illusion is a hidden shape you can't see.

First I had to pick a shape to make it into a optical illusion. I could draw the optical illusion or trace it on a DLO using the polyline tool.

The optical illusion I chose was the cube because in the cube it looked like it had two cubes in it.

Summer Learning Journey | Art colouring book

This teaser task was called "Art colouring book". Art colouring book is an app where you can colour in a painting from an author's painting and the painting has to match a little bit.

First, I coloured in the two men and the water melon's. I started with colouring in these one's because it was in the front and it was the main part of the painting.

Afterwards, I did the background and in the background was the buildings and the colours for the buildings had specific colours too.

I enjoyed this app because I can learn and practise how to colour.

Commanding Conversations

Commanding Conversations is a can-do where people practise writing thier own conversations.

First, I wrote a conversation about a woman going to a mechanic to fix her motorbike.

Afterwards, I wrote a second conversation about three apes complaining about what they are going to have for lunch.

Commanding Conversations is good activity for me because I can practise writing conversations on my own.

Novel Study

Fantastic Mr Fox is about a fox who steals food from farms to keep him and his family alive. These last chapters 17 and 18 is about Mr Fox, Badger, and the smallest fox escaping Bean's secret cider and going to the feast.

Mr Fox, Badger, and the smallest fox escaped Bean's secret cider without getting caught by Mabel. When they escaped Badger, and the smallest fox paused for the moment because Mr Fox was replacing the loose brick back in place.

When they paused they had a conversation about Rat having bad manners, then Badger said that all Rats have bad manners. Badger said that he had never met a polite Rat before and he said that he drinks too much cider.

As they were running back to the feast, Mr Fox and Badger were singing rhymes about thier wives on how they were feeling with no food or drink.

As they got back they all ate and Badger stood up to make a speech and a toast to thank Mr Fox for getting food for them.

Fantastic Mr Fox is a book that is good for all ages.

Secondly the Kapa Haka group performed a haka and then Panmure Bridge school responded with a haka back.

Lastly each class went out to play a Maori Game. Our game was called Maui and Mato. How to play this game is get a Reiko and stand in a circle. If they Maui then you go left, if they say Mato then you go right

I liked the performance the kapa haka group did, especially the singing. I also like the game maui and mato.

Kiwisport | Touch Rugby

We carried on learning two basic skills, they were a two man settle and a three man settle.

First we practised a two and three man settles to get ready for a game of touch. Coach mark told us to aim for one person when we drive the ball down the field.

Afterwards we played a game of touch. The game was for learning how to play and how to use a two and three man settle.

I enjoyed touch rugby because I was doing a three man settle very well with Josh and Kahu. I need to work on two man settles. I got shouted out from Mark, our coach, because I was listening to his instructions.

Fractions with cups

I made fractions out of plastic cups. The fractions I made were quarters and eighths.

First I made quarters. I drew a line on the cup and then I cut it into halves. Next I drew another line from the halves to make quarters.

Afterwards I made eighths. I made quarters and then I cut the quarters into halves and that made eighths.

Here is a slide that shows quarters and eighths that are made out of cups.

People's Names

Our task was to carry on a task about people's names.

First I was to translate the Maori Names. I was not allowed to use the Maori Dictionary so I had a go. Whea Odie told us that J is H, D is T, D and L is R, and V is W. For example if it was Hune that means it was June because there is no J in the Maori Language.

Afterwards I went on the floor with Whea Odie to play a game called memorize. Memorize is a game where I had to memorize the Maori words and when Whea Odie says the Maori Word in english I answer the Maori Word back.

I enjoyed this task because I translated people's names in english for three weeks.

Inquiry | Emergency Shelters

Emergency Shelters are used to protect people from disasters. Disaster like earthquakes, storms, rain and volcanic eruptions.

An Emergency Shelter needs the correct material. Concrete is the strongest material for storm protection because when a thunderstorm strikes concrete nothing will happen.

The shape of the shelter is a type of 3d trianglur shape.

The prediction for the materials is that concrete is good because it is strong for storm protection.

Wool was picked because it can keep things warm.

Wood was picked because it can protect the roof from falling.

SSR Selfie

I did a SSR Seflie on a book called Geronimo Stilton The Golden Statue Plot.

The author of the book is Elisabetta Dami and the Illustrater is Matt Wolf. The main characters are the Stilton family and the Pirate Cats.

Geronimo Stilton wore movie star sunglasses and a perfect tan to work. The next day he was going to work and then when he arrived, he saw the rest of the staff members wearing movie star sunglasses just like him. The Pirate Cat's Captain found a map that leads them to the Golden Statue Plot.

This book was funny and interesting.

L.I To To summarise and re-tell a text.

Storyboards

Storyboards are pictures that show the character movment and the camera angles.

When drawing a storybaord you have to put in details so the audience knows where the setting is. If there is detail in it then the audience understands where the character is and where the setting is.

Underneath drawings has to have a little information because some of the information is the drawings.

There are no words in the drawings because the main ideas are in the text underneath. It is important to write a storyboard so the actors know what they act and what kind of movment they are supposed to do.

L.I To create a storyboard into a narritive

Touch Rugby

This week for Touch Rugby we learnt two new basic skills.

First we did a three settle. A three settle includes three people. In the front is A, in the middle is B, and in the back is C. A has to plant the ball and then B has to grab the ball and then pass it to C.

Afterwards we did a two settle. A two settle includes two people. In front is A, and at the back is B. A has to plant the ball and then B grabs the ball and then goes in front of A and passes the ball.

I enjoyed Touch Rugby because I learnt two new basic skills from my coach named Mark.

Mr Fox on the loose again | Novel Study

Fantastic Mr Fox is about a fox who steals food from farms to make him and his family survive. Chapters 13 and 14 were about Mr Fox, Mr Badger, and the small foxes stealing food from Bunce's Giant Storehouse.

Mr Fox, the small foxes, and Mr Badger went to Bunce's Giant Store House to get some more food for the feast. They stole geese, ducks, vegtables, and smoked ham.

After they got everything for the feast the small foxes got a cart each and put the food in it. They were told to push the cart back to Mrs Fox. They were also told to tell her that there are guests invited to the feast.

On their way out one of the small foxes said that we are missing something. Then Mr Fox said we've been to Boggis, we've been to Bunce's, we just need to go to bean's secret cider.

The chapters 13 and 14 in the Fantastic Mr Fox book are interesting because it is about the foxes going to each farm getting food for the feast without getting caught.

Athletics Day 2020

This year was Athletics Day of 2020. There were nine activities and there were four coloured teams. Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue. There were three activities that I liked the most.

The first activity I enjoyed was called Sponge Relay. Sponge Relay is where you have to fill up the bucket  by going through opstical cources and then squeeze the sponge into the bucket of water and whoever has the most water in their bucket wins.

The second activity I enjoyed was called Rob the Nest. Rob the Nest is where you try and get the most eggs by stealing them from the middle, and then there is a tagger from each team that is protecting their eggs and whoever has the most eggs wins.

The last activity I enjoyed was the Hula Hoop Throw. The Hula Hoop Throw is where you throw a Hula Hoop at objects and the small object was worth 1 point, the medium object is worth 5 points, and then the big object is worth 10. Whoever has the most points wins.

I enjoyed Athletics Day because this was my second time doing Athletics Day at Panmure Bridge School.

Manaikalani Film Festival 2020

This week Panmure Bridge pupils went to go see the Manaikalani Film Festival 2020.

The first movie was ours and it was about Farzana not hand sanitising and trying to spread covid by touching other people.

Next we watched films from other schools. Some other films were about the Covid 19 and some were about Maori.

My favourite movie was the Communti one from Tamaki Primary and the Covid 19 one from Panmure Bridge.

I enjoyed these Manaikalani movies they were creative.

Novel Study | Fantastic Mr Fox

Fantastic Mr Fox is about a fox who steals food from farms for him and his family to survive. These three chapters in this book was about Mr Fox and his family stuck in a hole for three days and three nights without any food or water. But then Mr Fox came up with a plan and they started digging to Farmer Boggis chicken house number one.

For three days and nights this game went on. Farmer Boggis asked "How long can a fox go without food or water?" Boggis asked on the thrid day.
"Not much longer." Bean told him. "He'll make a run for it soon.
He'll have to."
Bean was right. Down the hole the foxes were slowly but surely starving to death.

Mr Fox had not spoken for a long time. He had been sitting quite still, his eyes were closed, not even hearing what the others were saying. Mrs Fox knew he was deseprately to think of a way out. And now, as she looked at him, she saw stir himself and get slowly to his feet. He looked back at his wife and he screamed out "I HAVE A PLAN!" "We dig and dig and dig until we get to chicken house number one and then we steal chicken.

The farmers were still waiting for the fox to come out of the hole so they never left the hole until they have Mr Fox in his hands.

Inquiry | Emergency Shelters

Emergency Shelters are to protect people from Tsunamis, Earthquakes, Volcano eruptions, Fire, and Storms.

Storm shelters can protect people from rolling over because there are things blocking from the side to the other side. This storm shelter would be able to survive a very large storm. The weakness for this shelter is water can fall inside.

Volcano eruptions shelters has a lot of protection because the stones would help the shelter not melt down from the lava. The weakness is that the lava might go flat through the hole if the person goes close to the volcano.

Shelters are used to protect people from accidents and disasters.

L.I To research emergency shelters

L.I To read and understand a design brief.

Touch Rugby

This week for Touch Rugby I learned two new basic skills.

First I practised how to plant the ball. I had to plant the ball by putting it on the ground and steping over it.

Next I played a game called "Blue Bibs versus Non-Bibs." Each team has a ball. Some players have a ball and some don't. I had no ball I had no ball so I had to tag the perso with the ball. When I tagged the person he planted the ball and passed to me so I have to run away from the person with no ball.

The last skill I learnt was defending and attacking. There was 2 defenders and 1 attacker. The defender has to try and block the ball the attackers from scoring a try.

I enjoyed Touch Rugby because I learnt new basic skills.

Novel Study | Fantastic Mr Fox

This novel study was about Fantastic Mr Fox. A novel study is getting information from novels. There were three chapters to read and they were about Mr Fox trying to escape the hole but Boggis, Bunce, and Bean were too desprate to get Mr Fox so they stayed next to the hole to wait for the fox.

When Bunce and Bean was digging to get Mr Fox, Boggis was looking to see if they were close to the fox and when they were close to the fox, Boggis will shoot the fox with his shotgun. Mr Fox and his family were very tired of digging and they were so hungry.

Bunce and Bean stopped because they were hungry and tired too, and so as Boggis. They wanted to go back to the farm to get some food but they didn't want Mr Fox and his family to escape. So the famers shaked each others hands and swore that they stayed and looked after the fox day and night, so they went to the other farms and asked if they had any tents or sleeping bags. They put the tents surrounding the foxes hole.

Bunce and Bean and Boggis ate the same meal as usual. Boggis had chicken with dumplings, Bunce had douhnuts with revolting goose paste, and Bean had two gallons of apple cider. Boggis pointed his chicken to the hole and he said "Hey, Mr Fox this is your last day eating chicken!"

Mr Fox and his family were hungry but they didn't give up.

Next was to write how many groups that was shared. For example: I shared it among me, Xavier, and Paul.

Third was to write how much objects or things we got each. For example: Each of us got 9 chicken drum sticks.

Lastly was to write the algorithim. For example: 27 ÷ 3 = 9.

Narritive Plan

This week we wrote a narritive plan for filming a movie.

First I had to remember what TOPES is. TOPES is Tittle, Orientation, Problem, Events, and Soloution. Orentation shows an introduction about the character. Problem is something that goes wrong. Soloution is figuring out the main problem.

Next we watched 2 different films. When we were watching the 2 films we guessed what the TOPES that were in the film.

Lastly we had to write ideas for the filming and then write a narritive. The page has to be an A4 page. The film has to take 2 miniutes maximum. My idea was me and Xavier getting chased by a zombie.

L.I To write a short story that can be made

Keeping it Warm and Cold

Insulators means blocking the heat from trying to escape.

There were 5 different materials: Glass, metal, polysyrene, plastic, and cups.

The best insulator for keeping things warm are polystyrene because it is a cooling rate of 8.

The best insulator for keeping things cold are polystyrene and paper because it is a cooling rate of 2.

Novel Study | Fantastic Mr Fox

Fantastic Mr Fox is about a family trying to escape from three evil farmers, Farmer Boggis, Farmer Bunce, and Farmer Bean.

Fantastic Mr fox always steals ducks from Farmer Bunces farm. They love his ducks. The three farmers were sick of it because they always stole from their farm.

They came up with a cunning plan. Bean said "I've got an idea, When the fox comes out go for a BANG BANG BANG BANG!" But when the fox came out they went for a BANG BANG BANG BANG! but instead they got the foxes tail. "WHY, WHY DIDN'T WE KILL HIM!" "You got anymore stupid ideas lad." "WAIT, I've got an idea. We dig up the hole!"

They digged and digged and digged. When they heard the three farmers digging they digged all the way down. The farmers stoped but they didn't give up.

Division Story Problems

This week for maths we had to make a story problem but in division. Division is sharing objects evenly to groups. To make a division story problem you have to split it up into 4 parts.

The first part is to write the original number and what object you are sharing. For example: I had 20 teddy bears.

The next thing was to write who you shared it among. For example: I shared it among me and my little baby brother.

The third thing was to write what amount did each person get. For example: Each of us got 10 teddy bears.

The last thing you do is to write the algorithm. For example: 20 ÷ 2 = 10 because half of 20 is 10.

I enjoyed division because I like learning new things about maths.

First I had to throw the ball over my head. Then I had to move fowards while I was throwing the ball over my head fowards and backwords.

Next we had to practise passing. When passing to someone make sure the person is moved back and make sure that you are in front. If you pass to the person thats in front of you that is a foward pass.

Then I had to practise rolling the ball under your legs. Before passing the ball to someone make sure that the person in front of you rolls the ball under you so you can pass it.

After we played a game. The game was to put the ball in a coloured hoop in a less time. When Mr Ogilvie blows the whistle and then calls out a colour the person with the ball passes it to thier partner and the person with the ball can't move. So when your partner go's to the colour hoop that Mr Ogilvie called out pass the ball to the your partner close to the hoop and your partner will put the ball in the hoop and once everyone puts the ball in the coloured hoop Mr Ogilvie stops the timer and our class time was 9 seconds.

I enjoyed Kiwisport because I got to learn some new sport skills.

Inquiry experiment

This week for inquiry we did an experiment. We were trying to experiment how much material that was going to be absorved.

First I had to decide what material we should get for the experiment. The material I decided was the sand. When I decided what our material was, I had to get a beaker that 100ml and then put 5 dips of blue colouring.

Next I put a small jar and put it on top of the scale. When I put the jar on the scale I reseted the scale back to 0 so I could put the sand in. Once I put the sand in I had to make sure it was 50 grams. The reason why it is 50 grams because the teacher want different resaults.

Lastly I had to pour the water out of the jar but not the sand. Once I got all the water out I had to put the water in the millilitre cylinder bottle and that will show how much water that was absorved.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt about a new experiment.

Division

Division is sharing objects evenly to groups one by one. For example there were 30 lollies that was shared among 6 people. Each person got 5 lollies.

Here is a slide that shows division.

L.I To share objects evenly.

Te Reo Maori

For Maori I learnt how to say body parts.

The first thing I did was to highlight the ones I knew and then leave the ones I didn't know in black.

The next thing I did was to match the words among the pictures. For example lips - Ngutu.

This task was difficult because I had to learn a lot of new words.

Basic Facts Boxes

Today I attempted the multiplication speed up demon challenge and my time was 6 minutes. I got so many answers wrong but next time I will try to beat my time. I got 61 correct and 32 wrong. I was supposed to finishe the whole thing and the whole thing was 93. So I got 61 out of 93.

SSR Selfie | The Gruffalo

For SSR Selfie we had to do a describe a story called "The Gruffalo" by using the SSR Selfie. The tittle is "The Gruffalo", the author is Julia Donaldson, the illustrater is Axel Scheffler, the main characters are the Mouse, Fox, Owl, Snake, and The Gruffalo.

After that we had to list three events that happened in the story. For example: The mouse tricked the animals so he could avoid them.

Then the final step I did was to tell what I think about the book. For example: The book was enjoyable and risky.

Art | The Gruffalo

For two weeks we did an amazing pastel art with my class and the pastel art was about The Gruffalo. Th Gruffalo art was a group activity.

The first thing me and my group had to do was to practise blending in the pastel colours. If your're trying to do The Gruffalo's mouth you have to get three colours. The three colours are brown, white, and light pink. The first step you must do is add the brown. Then add the white on top of the brown. After that you have to add the pink and then once you added the pink you have to blend it with the cotton buds. After that you come with a nice colour of The Gruffalo's mouth.

The second thing me and my group did was to go on to the real art paper. The part me and my group did was G2 and G2 was The Gruffalo. I thought I was going to muck up but then I did a really good job. I was proud of myself when I didn't muck up but I had to still blend in the colours if I had to.

I quite enjoyed this task because it was a whole class task and me and my group did The Gruffalo and my favorite character in the story was The Gruffalo.

L.I To practise blending different colours by using cotton buds to get the light and the dark colours.

Mixed Multiplication Word Problems

For maths I learnt how to use brakets in a multiplication word problem. The brackets means that you have to solve it first. For example: (61 + 7) + 24 = ?

For this task we had to do the number sequence and then we had to do the answer put in a word problem.

There were 5 multiplication problems and I tried my best to answer them correctly. Some of it was multiplication and addition, some of it was just multiplication, and some were multiplication and subtraction.

L.I To write multiplication word problems in brackets

Daily Routine

For this weeks writing task we had to write a recount about one day. The recount was about what you did in a regular day. And aslo the recount included 4 daily routines.

The 4 daily routines are before school, at school, after school, and after dinner.

Before school means what do you do before school. For example: Brush teeth and then wash face.

At school means what kind of learning you did while at school. For example: I did a maths task called "Multiplication Word Prolems".

After school means what you did when you get home. For example: Take a warm shower and then get changed.

After dinner means what you did after dinner. For example: I had ice cream after dinner.

The Governing Topics

Governing topics are policies that are given importance by the goverment. The two most important governing topics to me are: Transport and Infrastructure, and education.

Transport and Infrastructure means fixing how people move around the country and how buildings are organised and are built safe.

Education means that the goverment should give money to the schools.

Transport and Infrastructure are important to me because my parents use a vehicle to take me to school, go to their jobs and going to different places.

Education is important to me because I am still at school and I like to learn more things around me.

L.I To choose inportant governing topics by summarising all topics

Making Smores and Fire Plan

For inquiry we did an activity about saftey plans. There were two saftey plans and one of the plans was making a fire plan and the second one was the food plan. The hazards were the fire, sticks, and the students. The risks were passing out out from smoke and getting burnt by the fire. After we finished the saftey plan we made a fire from wood paper and a lighter. The ingredients for the smores are marshmallows, biscuts, and choclate sauce. We went to the fire and melted the marshmallows on a kebab stick. After that we put the melted marshmallows on the two biscuts and then put choclate sauce on the biscuts.

Basic Facts Boxes

Today I took the speed up challenge for basic facts boxes. I did the mutliplication one because I wanted to beat my time on my other basic facts boxes.

When I finished my multiplication sheet I had to stop my time and my time was 5 minutes and 17 seconds.

I needed to practise my times tables because my times tables are pretty bad. I need to practise my 9 times tables, 7 times tables, 12 times tables, 8 times tables, 4 times tables, and my 3 times tables.

L.I To remember my basic facts maths.

Maori Language Week

This week is Maori Language Week. This is a time in September when people support the Maori Language and try to get more and more Maori Speakers.

In 1985 people began to ask for te reo to be recognised as a taonga (treasure) of NZ and that it should be protected and promoted under te Tiriti of Waitangi - Treaty of Waitangi.

The Goverment's goal is to have 1 million speakers of te reo by 2040.

Approximatley 125,000 people can speak fluent te reo in NZ. There are more and more people learning, including us right now.

L.I  Lets make the Maori Language Strong

Risk Assessment

This activity was about making a saftey plan.

First, we had to remember what a hazard and a risk is. A hazard is a object that can cause harm. The risk is a chance that something will happen. The risk levels are low, likely, possible, elevated, and extreme.

Next, we had to do the saftey plan. We had to write down what the activity was, the number of helpers, the number of students, the class level, and where the location was going to be held. For every 10 students there is one helper. For example: 48 students, there are 4 tens and that means that is 4 helpers. The 8 is not a 10 yet but the 8 still needs a helper. So there will be needed 5 helpers for 48 students.

Lastly, we had to answers the questiosn in the saftey plan. What could go wrong? What could cause it to go wrong? How could we prevent it? Whose responsibility is it? And whats the emergency plan?

I enjoyed this task because me and my group had to write a safety plan, and I have never wrote a saftey plan.

L.I To assess risk with in a simple activity

More Multiplication Word Problems

How to solve a maths problem that is outside the times tables do this.

The first step is to write a number sentence.

The second step is to break up the big number. For example: 12 = 10 + 2.

The third step is to multiply the small number. For example: (3 x 10) (3 x 2).

The fourth step is to add the number. For example: (3 x 10 = 30) (3 x 2 = 6) 30 + 6 = 36

The fifth step is to write the number sentence again but with the answer. For example 3 x 12 = 36.

The final step is to write the number sentence again but in words like a word problem. For example Cora interviewed 36 people a year in total.

L.I To solve multiplication problems with a factor greater than 10.

Narritive | The Gruffalo

A re-write story is changing half of the story but the same storyline.

There are three guiding questions that can help us change the story and they are where do they live, what's the Gruffalo's favourite food, and the location.

I changed the Mouse into a Meerkat because they are kind of the same.

Re-writing a story can help people think of creative ideas.
