Haiku Poem | SLJ
Today I did a Haiku Poem. In a Haiku Poem there are three lines. The first line has five syllables, the second line has seven syllables, and the third line has five syllables.
The Haiku Poem I wrote was Looking for sunshine which has five syllables. The man whistles on the chair whcih has seven syllables. So my day begins which has five syllables.
Looking for sunshine, the man whistles on the chair, so my day begins.

I really enjoyed reading your haiku poem - ka pai! My favourite line was when you wrote about the man whistling on the chair. I can just imagine a man whistling while relaxing in his chair in the summer time. What was your inspiration for writing this haiku?
I hope you enjoyed this activity and have been learning heaps over the summer so far.
