This second teaser task was called "Scavenger Hunt." We watched Nanogirls video and she said that we had to find the materials around our home or our class.
First, I watched Nanogirl's video and she said to find the equipment she had in your house or in the classroom.
Afterwards, we went to go and find the materials Nanogirl had said. We only got got some of the materials and they were a plastic cup, a plastic spoon, a coca cola can, a tin, a thick box, a piece of paper, string, and tin foil.
I enjoyed this task because I had to find different materials around the class.
Kia Ora Hector,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey, it is awesome to see your first post of the summer and I look forward to seeing more as you continue blogging!
I thought this activity was fun as you had to be creative and find substitutes for items you might not have had and it is the first activity in a series of Nano Girl activities and experiments. I thought your video was great, I liked that you showed all the materials that you found and I liked that everyone in your group had a turn to talk as well which is very inclusive and shows you have great teamwork! Are there any materials that you couldnt find and if so what will you use as a substitute?
I would like to know what you think you will be doing with these materials? Maybe build a tower, complete a crazy science experiment or build a robot! What do you think?
Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.
Ngā mihi nui,

ReplyDeleteI don't really take my netbook home but I think I can publish all my posts at school and I have been really enjoying the activities you guys are setting up for us. My favorite task is Art Colouring book gallery. What kind of other activities have the SLJ team set for Panmure Bridge School?
Hi Hector,
DeleteDo you have a way that you will be able to keep up with the Summer Learning Journey and continue posting once school finishes?
There are a lot more activities planned from all the subjects like science, english, art and technology as well as the awesome NanoGirl activities every Monday.

ReplyDeleteI liked Nanogirl's activity and when she did the scavenger hunt, I felt like this was going to be pretty boring. But when she said the we have to find the materials I said "This is not boring."
I am not going to do Nanogirl's second activity because I don't take my chromebook home and this is my second year of doing this SLJ experince
