We went on the field to learn two new skills from a AFL Coach named Mike. AFL stands for Australian Football League.
First, Coach Mike taught us a skill and it was called, Hand ball. Hand ball is using my dominant hand for a fist and my non-dominant hand for a dinner plate.
Next, I did the lower punt skill. A lower punt is kicking the ball and I had to make sure that my hand is shaped like a M on top of the ball. M stands for Macca's. I had to make sure that the ball was facing away from my face and that technique is called Laces to the faces. I also had to make sure that my foot was kicking the X on the ball, so the ball could go to the person I am aiming at.
Lastly, we played two games called Octopus and Bomb the teacher. Octopus is getting to one side, to the other without getting tagged with the rugby ball. Bomb the teacher is kicking the ball and trying to aim at the teacher's and coach.
I enjoyed doing these two skills with Coach Mike because I learnt two new skills. I was standing like I was Jesus when I was playing Bomb the teacher and Octopus.
