Typing

I completed a typing activity. This activity was about learning to look at the screen and type more often looking at the keyboard and type.

First, I set up a 15 minute timer and opened up Dance Mat Typing website.

Next, I had to find something to cover the keyboard and place my fingers on the home keys.

Lastly, I pasted my results on a google slide and I had to write a description on what I had to imrpove.

I need to improve my m, h, and v.

Fractions

I did fractions and unit fractions by representing it in pizza slices, squares, and explained it with a short description.

First, I did unit fractions. A unit fraction are multiple fractions, but the numerator is always a one (top number).

Next, I explained the unit fractions by using pizza slices, squares, and writing a short description.

Then, I did a normal fraction. A fraction is a whole number divided into equal pieces.

Lastly, I explained the fractions by using pizza slices, squares, and writing a short description.

This task was easy because these were fractions I already knew. Next time, it should be more harder fractions.

Maori Questions

I created a slide deck about Maori Questions.

First, I did made up sentences about the maori word proposition. I wrote it in maori and english so that people who don't understand the maori language, they can just read the englsih part.

Next, I searched for some images on google to represent the Maori Questions.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt how to use these propositions properly.

Fairy Tales

I did some information gathering on three different types of fairy tales.

First, I watched the Maui and The Sun. This story was about the sun who travels the through the sky fast and at night, the moon goes slow. Maui and his brothers had to put a stop to it. So then they made ropes and captured the sun. Then they weakend it so the sun could go slow though out the day. Nowdays, the sun goes slower than ever. Video

Next, I watched the Three Little Billy Goats Gruff. There was Little Billy Goats Gruff, Middle Billy Goats Gruff, and The Great Big Billy Goats Gruff. They lived on a huge hillside full of grass nearby a river. Suddenly, there was no more grass. But there were more grass on the otherside of the river. They had to cross a bridge and underneath the bridge was a hungry troll waiting for them. Video

Lastly, I watched Little Red Riding Hood. This story was about a little girl with a beautiful red cloak, went to go to give food for her sick grandmother. But little did she know, there was a big bad wolf. He convinced the Little Red Riding Hood about other things, but she didn't believe him. Them when she got to her grandma's house, the wolf was dressed as the grandma.

I enjoyed reading these books because two of these books were my childhood books I used to read.

Little Red Riding Hood

I watched a fairy tale called Little Red Riding Hood.

First, I watched the first part of the story. The main characters were Little Red Riding Hood.

Once upon a time, there lived a girl in a village that was next to a nearby forest. Her Grandmother had made her a beautiful red coat. She wore the hood everytime outside. Everyone in the village that saw her, called her little red riding hood. One day, her mother said that grandma isn’t feeling well. So then the mother gave her some food to take to her grandmother’s house.

I enjoyed watching this fairy take because it reminded me of when I had to go to my nana's house and give her some leftover food. Video

Billy Goats Gruff

I watched a fairy tale called Billy Goats Gruff.

First, I watched the first part of the story. The main characters were the Billy Goats Gruff.

Once upon a time, there were three little Billy Goats Gruff brothers, who lived on a grassy meadow next to the river. There was little Billy Goat Gruff, middle Billy Goat Gruff, and great big Billy Goat Gruff. They were eating grass and all of a sudden they ate all the grass on the meadow. Little Billy Goat Gruff said “Oh look, there are loads of grass on the other side. Maybe we should go there.” Then the great big Billy Goat Gruff said “Good idea!”

I enjoyed watching this story because it reminds me of my friends pet goat. Video

Fractions

I learned how to do fractions using shapes.

First, I completed the fractions about matching the fractions, shade and label them.

Lastly, I created my own fractions.

I enjoyed doing this activity because I learnt how to use different ways for a fraction using shapes.
