SSR Selfie | Geronimo Stilton and The Underwater Planet

I read a book called Geronimo Stilton and The Underwater Planet by Elisabetta Dami.

First,  I read the next 10 pages about Geronimos' morning routine and getting told off by his Grandfather. The main characters are Geronimo, Trap, Thea, Grandfather Williams. Robotix, Benjamin and Bugsy.

It all started on an early morning. Geronimo woke up and he was feeling fabmouse. Of course he would had loved to stay in his little cozy bed for another one or two hours.

This book title was interesting because there is actually a real underwater planet that is the size of Neptune!

Literacy Chart

I created a story but only using emojis.

First, I searched on google for emojis and the emojis I chose were the peter pan emojis. Peter Pan was my movie childhood so that is why I chose it.

Next, I had to paste the emojis onto a google drawing.

Lastly, I put the emojis in order to create a story.

This activity was fun because I used my creativity to create a story and this story linked with my childhood.

Literacy CH 1

I created a literacy chart about an odd object around my house. The object I chose was a utensil and that utensil was a potato peeler.

First, I searched around my house for weird items or utensils, a potato peeler.

Lastly, I created a poster and wrote a short procedure about its functions.

1. Grab the potato peeler.
2. Grab a type of vegtable you want to peel.
3. Hold the handle of the utensil.
4. Move the utensil back and forth to peel the skin off.

This activity was fun because I learnt the functions to a weird item and I scavenged around my house to search for weird items.

Problem Solving

Today I used place value to figure out a maths equation.

First, I highlighted the main keywords in the story problem. 7 and 16

Next, I wrote down the number sentence. 7 x 16.

Then, I multplied the ones. 7 x 6 = 42.

Then, I multiplied the tens 7 x 10 = 70.

After, I combined the answers. 70 + 42 = 112.

Lastly, I wrote down the number sentence but with the answer.

This was easy because it was just multipying the 7 and 16 by using the place value technique.

Comment Thread

I completed a task called Comment Thread. A comment thread is having a conversation with someone else by commenting with positivie feedback and talking about the learning.

One of my teachers in my school commented on my blog post called Basic Facts Boxes. During a comment thread, you need to have a greeting, a compliment, and a question to ask.

Here is an example for comment thread.

HPE | Wednesday Workout

Today I did the Wednesday Workout. The Wednesday Workout was Run on the Spot, Lunges, Mountain Climbers, and Ankle Touches.

First, I did Run on the Spot. Run on the Spot is staying in a certain spot and run as fast as possible.

Next, I did Lunges. Lunges is stretching legs out back and forth with feet flat on the ground.

After, I did Mountain Climbers. Mountain Climbers is going into a press up position and push up legs.

Lastly, I did Ankle Touches. Ankle Touches is laying down on th floor and bending legs with feet flat on the floor. Then swaying hands side to side to make sure that hands touch ankles.

This was hard because I was rushing through the exerscises and I had a stitch on my left side.

Prototec

I completed stage 2 - 3. I got all the answers right and my time was 1 minute and 8 seconds.

Next time, I should do 5 or 6.
