HPE

Teamwork is a term to describe a group of people working together to achieve a goal.

Teamwork consists of three main mechanisms. Communication is talking to one another. In a game of dodgeball, people communicate by telling each to pass the ball. An example is: communicating to each other on how they are going to block thier king.

Cooperation is an action where people work together at the same end. In a game of dodgeball, people cooperate is by eliminating teams to get to the same end. An example is: cooperating with each other by eliminating opponants with balls.

Collaboration is working in a group to try and achieve a goal. In a game of dodgeball, people work together by dodging the ball. An example is: colaborating by defending thier king, so thier team won't lose.

To be successful as a team all three mechanisms need to implemented throughout the activity.

Basic Facts Boxes

I completed the speed up demon challenge up to 5.

First, I opened up a basic facts boxes sheet and a online stopwatch. The basic facts boxes I did was subtraction.

After, I took a screenshot of my time and my basic facts boxes sheet and put my results on a google slide. My results were (3 minutes and 54 seconds) and I got 100\100 correct.

Next time I would try a harder level, Multiplication, and get a better time.

SSR Selfie | Star Wars Jedi Academy

I read a book called Star Wars Jedi Academy and I read 14 pages.

The first couple of pages were about that Star Wars Jedi Academy was introducing characters in the book.
I also read that mobot and Iyawa had a fight with their lightsabers.

After, I read that Orange Monster and Rey were having best times but a random Jedi was making fun of them and ruined it.

I like this author because the author wrote lots of things in the book about the characters that were interesting.

Making Connections

Making connections is connecting a text to text, a text to ourselves, and text to world.

Text to text is linking to another book. For example: The Horse lets the Rat ride on him. The Horse did that because he is a helping friend. The connection is: In the story of Little Red Riding Hood, the girl gave food to her grandma because she is caring. These two connect because these two characters are generous.

Text to Self is linking about yourself. For example: The Horse carry’s all the food. The Horse did that because he is just doing his job. The connection is: kids always carry the groceries for my mum because they are respectful. These connect because we both carried all the food.

Text to world is linking to something that happens in the outside world. For example: The Horse lets the Rat steal his food. The Horse did that because the Horse didn't want conflict. The connection is: Country’s let other country’s take thier belongings because they don’t want war. These connect because they don’t want conflict.

Making connections can help people understand the connections about another text, about ourselves, and about the world.

Multiplication

Multiplication is a fast way of adding the same number many times. The two, five, and ten times tables are examples of multiplication.

The three times tables are multiplying three by a number groups. The four times tables multiplying four by a number groups. The six times tables multiplying six by a number groups.

The times tables are on an easy way to remember basic multiplication equations. The next times tables to learn are seven, eight, and nine times tables.

Information

Information can be public or private. To keep safe people must understand the differences between public information and private information.

Public information means posting or sharing photos/videos. For example: liking cat videos, name, information about people in need, pictures of harmless things, liking appropriate posts.

Private information means not invading peoples privacy wthout thier permission. For example: personal address, phone number, personal text messages, account details, money card, personal family information.

If information can't be kept safe, it would either stolen, copied, hacked, shared, or searched.

Character Traits

A character trait uses adjectives to describe a character. The chosen character to find traits for was the Horse from the Highway Rat.

The Horse is smart because he realised that the Highway Rat was using him only to ride him.

The Horse used his strength to carry the Highway Rat and the food.

The Horse are smart, hardworking, and helper.

Character traits can help people understand other certain characters personalty's.

What is Teamwork about?

I learnt about what teamwork is. Teamwork is cooperating with each other, collaborate with each other, and communicating with each other. I used these words in three games called Blind fold cone challenge, Blind fold dodge ball (Bean Bags), and Hunger games dodge ball.

First, I played Blind fold cone challenge. Blind fold cone challenge is wearing a blind fold and going in the correct direction to place your cone onto another cone. This game was all about communicating and I was communicating to my partner with, the blind fold, to go which direction to place the cone on top of the other.

Then we played a game called bindfold dodge ball. My partner had to yell at me the directions of the beanbag because he had a blindfold on. This game was about colaboration because my partner had to yell at me but it was hard because everyone was yelling.

Lastly we played a game called hunger games dodge ball. Hunger games dodge ball is basicly everyones it but using a ball to get opponents out. This game was about cooperating.

I need to work on listening because I couldn't hear my partner yelling at me but even though it was hard because everyone was yelling.

Basic Facts Boxes

I completed the speed up demon challenge up to 20 on basic facts boxes. Basic facts boxes help's us learn our basic facts.

First, I opened up an online stopwatch and my basic facts sheet. The basic facts boxes I did was addition.

After, I took a screenshot of my results and put it on a google slide. My time was (4 minutes and 31 seconds).

Next time I would try a harder level (Brain Box) and get a better time below (4 minutes and 31 seconds).

L.I To recall basic facts fluently and quickly.

Aboriginal War Dance and Maori Men's Haka

I learnt the differences and simalarities about the Aboriginal War dance and Maori Men's Haka.

First, one of the differences that I've found out from the Maori Men's Haka is: they use a Patu in the Haka.

Next, one of the simalarities that I've found out from the Aboriginal War dance is: they have wooden weapons in the War Dance.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt differences and similarities about the Maori Men's Haka and the Aboriginal War Dance. Also, it helps us understand the differences and similarities about different cultures.

SSR Selfie | Minecraft Combat Handbook

I read a book called Minecraft Combat Handbook.

I read a few pages of the book. I read one page about how Minecraft swords are created. I also read the contents of the book and the introduction.

I then read how to enchant by using a enchanting table that has a book full of enchantments. I then read about each characters health points, attack strength, spawns, weapons, vulnerable to, who to take, useful drops, and their strategies.

I enjoyed this book because I learnt some new facts and strategies about Minecraft.

Fact or Opinion

I infered some facts and opinions about the Horse from The Highway Rat story. Facts are true information and opinions based on true facts.

First, I've watched a 25 minute movie about The Highway Rat so we'd know what kind of facts we'd had to write.

Next, I evaluated the facts about the Horse. After I wrote my facts I wrote some opinions to match the facts.

Lastly, I wrote some adjectives that described the opinions I have written. These adjectives described the traits not the look of a character.

I need to work on my opinions because I always write information in the book that happened in the past.

Multiplication

I completed a multiplication task. This task was about figuring an unknown amount of objects by separating it into groups.

First, I took a big group of counters of an unknown amount.

Next, I split the big groups into small groups of 5.

Then, I counted the number of groups.

Lastly, I used multiplication to find out the unknown amount, which is 55. 11 X 5 = 55.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt how to use multiplication in a fast way.
